Caution: Title I funding restriction

2/3/2010 As you are feverishly planning and preparing for the 2010-2011 year, Title I, Part A (or potentially to be renamed as College and Career Ready Students) has been level funded at $14.49 billion. You must be aware of the minimum funding level for Title I schools in corrective action or restructuring. Section 1116(b)(10)(D) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) prohibits an LEA from reducing the Title I, Part A allocation of a school identified for corrective action or restructuring by more than 15 percent.  Read More...
